Sugar Rush: Nail Art Inspo

We have created 3 sweet designs for you to recreate using our newest collection, Sugar Rush. Our techniques will show you how to create a 3D French, an alternative French and a layered wave design.

Triple Waves

1.      Apply a base layer of a sheer purple. We’ve used Calgel Lavender Milk Builder. Ensure a total cure of 2 minutes before applying a second layer.

2.      Using Calgel Sundae, create a swirl down the centre and just off-centre of the nail using a striping nail art brush. Fill in the space using a filbert #6 brush. Cure fully.

3.      Repeat step 2.

4.      Using Calgel Jelly Bean, create a second swirl on the inside of the green with a striping nail art brush. Fill in the space using a filbert #6 brush. Cure fully.

5.      Repeat step 4.

6.      Finish with Gel&Go 2in1, you can apply it slightly thicker to correct any bumps. You can also finish with a small build layer of Base & Build if required.

 

3d French

1.      Apply a base layer of a sheer pink. We’ve used PRO COLOUR Whisper Builder. Ensure a total cure of 30 seconds before applying a second layer.

2.      Using a striping nail art brush, create a French tip using PRO COLOUR Bon Bon and fill in the space with a Filbert #4 Brush. Cure fully.

3.      Apply a layer of Gel&Go 2in1 over the entire nail and cure for 60 seconds.

4.      Wipe the nail with Guard to remove the inhibition layer.

5.      Using a striping nail art brush, create 3D shapes to the tip of the nail using iZ Pro Base & Build, making sure to freeze cure in between. Cure the entire nail fully for an extra 10 seconds.

6.      Using a clean striping nail art brush, apply Touch&Go No Wipe Topcoat to the 3D shapes, making sure to freeze cure in between. Cure the entire nail fully for an extra 30 seconds.

 

Swirl French

1.      Apply a base layer of a sheer purple. We’ve used PRO COLOUR Lavender Milk Builder. Ensure a total cure of 30 seconds before applying a second layer.

2.      Using PRO COLOUR Sundae, create a French tip using a striping nail art brush. Fill in the space using a filbert #4 brush. Cure fully.

3.      Using PRO COLOUR Jelly Bean, create a swirl across the French tip with a striping nail art brush. Cure fully.

4.      Finish with Gel&Go 2in1, you can apply it slightly thicker to correct any bumps. You can also finish with a small build layer of Base & Build if required.
