This year’s AW20 fashion shows saw Balenciaga, Valentino, Alexander McQueen and Givenchy all adding pops of red to their lines.
Some used red from head to toe, others used red to accompany black and gold. However, for New York Fashion Week we saw Red Wine nails take over the AW20 runway at shows such as Oscar De La Renta and Rodarte.
If a bold red is not quite your colour, there are many different variations that you can adorn this Autumn/Winter to stay completely on-trend. With so many variations and tones, it can be hard choosing the perfect red, so we'll be showing you a closer look at some of our top picks for the season.
British Red is our best-selling red and for good reason. It is a true classic red that looks amazing on any nail length and suits all skin-tones. For a polished and classy look, British Red truly is a must-have in your collection.
The French Manicure is the epitome for feminine nails and a class design that is making a serious come back! Give it a modern twist by swapping a white tip for a stand-out red. Alternative French nail designs are a huge nail art trend right now.
For a French base colour, we recommend semi-sheer colours such as Pro Colour Barely There (featured above) or Calgel Pink Blossom. If your clients prefer a bit of sparkle, choose Pro Colour French Pink Shimmer or Calgel Peach Fuzz.

A deep sophisticated red. A colour that could not be better for the Winter months. Vamp looks great paired with gold detailing or powerful just on its own. Vamp has been on our colour charts since 1999 and is still a customer favourite for a shade that oozes sophistication.
If you aren’t not trained in Calgel, why not try of our GEL&GO | Gel in a Bottle colours? We have a range of reds to choose from, but our favourite for Winter has got to be Silk Slip. With a finish that looks like silk, it applies like a dream and brings a little luxury to the nails.
