Trend Diary | Pastels

This year we will see a rise in Pastel colours once again but not just in fashion as shown by Balmain, but in nail trends too. Pair your favourite pastel shade with simplistic floral details inspired by Isabel Marant or choose a different colour for each nail (if you really can’t choose just one). Staying on-trend doesn’t have to be daring, this Pastel trend is perfect for those that want to keep things a little simple.

Spring is a time to refresh, a time for us to let go of the darker months and leave them behind with the blooming of flowers and fresh warm air to fill our days. Have a look below at our nail inspirations and give your nails some pastel love.
Calgel Lemon Meringue

If there is a colour to represents Spring, it would be Lemon Meringue (only available in CALGEL & Vegan Gel Effect Polish).A creamy yellow that looks great on its own or teamed with nail art. We have a range of floral waterless nail decals that can quickly transform your mani.

Balmain let a brighter side of lemon yellow stand out on a statement dress with long gold necklaces in their Ready-to-Wear Spring 2021 runway show.

Calgel Exhale Pro Colour Exhale

Nails by Janine @__secret__beauty__

Any shade of purple can work well for Spring but adorning a pastel purple will work even better for your Spring nails. Exhale is a soft lilac shade that can be worn semi-sheer with just one layer or built up to intensify its creamy light purple colour. Available in CALGEL & PRO COLOUR

If you're looking pastel purple Vegan Nail Polish, try Wisteria Lane for a similar look.

Gel and Go Marshmallow

A pastel pink is always a great Spring choice. We have a range of soft pinks to choose from including our HEMA Free Marshmallow from our Gel&Go Range. For a similar colour, try Candy Floss in CALGEL & PRO COLOUR.

Calgel Curious Ivy
Nails by Rowena @rows_nails

For a nod to a more Vintage look, Curious Ivy is a great choice. This gorgeous duck egg shade looks great on it's own or paired with Vintage Florals & Polka Dots. Only available in CALGEL & Vegan Gel Effect Polish.

Nails by Maisie @maisieleahnails

If you can't decide on which Pastels to go, have them all. Horizontal ombre is easier to achieve than the traditional vertical ombre and looks totally gorgeous.
Maisie used CALGEL Forget Me Not, Wisteria Lane, Wild Sage & Lemon Meringue with PRO COLOUR Soft Pink & Peach Blush to create this colourful, spring design.

We can't wait for all salons to reopen across the UK & Ireland and to see your spring designs on clients. Don't forget to tag us @izabellehammonuk so we can find your photos!
