Trend Diary | Earthy & Grounded

After a year stuck in a pandemic, many of us are craving the freedom of the outdoors wanderlust may be starting to take over. The urge to travel, explore and appreciate the natural beauty in the world has been reflected in colour trends for 2021.

The catwalks saw an array of natural inspired tones likes sandy beiges, muted browns & caramels as well as darker shades like warm terracotta and oranges with pops of khaki. These colour trends are traditionally more seen in Autumn but paired back and natural shades (alongside brighter colours) are looking big for Spring.

These colours link perfectly with Home Interior trends for the year ahead; with a focus on shades to bring a sense of calm and country feel with a mixture of rusts, camels and browns with natural textures for softness.

We’ve highlighted a few of our existing colours that fit perfectly with the Earthy & Grounded colour trends for 2021.

Pro Colour Sandy Shores
Nails by Clair Bingham @cbbeautyx
Keep yourself grounded with a sandy shade, a colour to stay on-trend and to go with every outfit. Sandy Shores is only available in PRO COLOUR. Another alternative is Chocachino (a touch darker) and is available in CALGEL.
Calgel Back Seat Pro Colour Back Seat

Nails by Demi Cox @bydemicox

This warm orange toned offers a great alternative to your go-to traditional bold red.

Back Seat is available in CALGEL and PRO COLOUR.

Gradient Nails Calgel

Nails by Charlotte Walton @cutie.cals

In 2020 we saw the ‘Gradient Nail’ trend take over and it’s here to stay for 2021. We think this trend works beautifully with the down-to-earth colours for a fun and creative transition from dark Winter nails.

Muted browns look great in a gradient but adding a pop of colour and texture can really give your nails a unique edge

Colours used | White and Clear (custom blend), On The Savanna (PRO COLOUR only), Mink Coat (CALGEL only), Made in Manhattan with Rose Gold Glitter.

Pro Colour On the Savanna Lady Liberty

Nails by Carol-Ann Beresford @nailboxcaz

We love using a Matt Nail Varnish top coat to give two looks in one, simply remove the top coat with a non-acetone remove to reveal the shining gel below. A creamy brown toned nude, like On the Savanna looks great when paired with a warmer, soft terracotta, such as Lady Liberty.

Gel&Go Hema Free Gel&Go Spice

Our HEMA free Gel&Go ranges offers a variety of earthy tones including Spice and Cinnamon Swirl. Gel&Go is available to nail professionals with Gel Qualifications with no further training.
